The switch for the magazine is integrated in the safety circuit. For correct operating, the logic needs a signal from the safety switch.
Blank magazine almost empty:
The sensor is positioned at the front, beneath the lower separator plate. If the sensor fails to detect blanks in the magazine, it will cause the blue stack light to flash. This alert prompts the operator to replenish the magazine.
The sensitivity of the sensor can be adjusted. Ensure that it does not detect beyond half of the length of the blank magazine.
Blank magazine almost empty (cycle stop):
When the magazine runs almost empty, the remaining blanks are not adequately supported. Once this sensor detects the slide unit, the machine will come to a halt. If present, the blue stack light will illuminate. The HMI will display a message 'load magazine'. Upon reloading the magazine and when the input drops, the suction frame will self-start after 3 seconds.
Help Text:
Load blank magazine
Problem
The sensor has indicated that the magazine is empty. This could be due to one of two reasons:
The magazine is genuinely empty, or
The machine is providing a false indication of an empty magazine because the slide unit has activated/reached the proximity sensor.
Solution
Load the blank magazine with additional boxes and ensure that the proximity sensor is clear.
