Suction Cups

Problem

Suction cups will wear over time. If they are not retracting properly, they will wear rapidly. The main causes for wear are as follows:

• Stop position suction frame is misaligned -> check impulse sensor

• Fixed outer flap folder is misaligned

• Blank magazine is set incorrectly

• Retract cylinders are worn

Solution

1. Suction cup replacement plus Venturi cleaning

2. Lubricate or clean the inside of the retraction block

3. Check impulse sensor

4. Check that outer flap folder is aligned properly

When replacing suction cup always use Loctite 638 to glue the new suction cups.

For safety, begin by locking out and tagging out:

1. The electrical main disconnect switch

2. The pneumatic dump valve
